About Us

Originally started as a home based business over 30 years ago, Fabric Junction expanded to include a brick and mortar store in 1998 to offer customers a wider variety of products and services.

Starting out in a 600 sq ft space, the store eventually grew to fill a spacious 2400 sq ft store with a wide variety of designer fabrics, books, patterns, quilt kits, and more. Along the way, owner, Terry Koontz, and son, Chris (her business partner), also added qualified sales of Baby Lock sewing machines, and custom quilting services to our store's growing list of store specialties.

Fabric Junction is located in the heart of South Dakota's scenic Black Hills where, each August, our town hosts the world renowned Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Inspired by this popular annual event, we designed our exclusive line of fabrics featuring Sturgis Motorcycle Rally themes, as well as offering Crown Royal patterns.

Terry and Chris, and the rest of the Fabric Junction staff, enjoy providing the Sturgis community (and our online friends), with the products and services they need to turn their creative ideas into reality. They strive to maintain a friendly store atmosphere, where sewing enthusiasts of all skill levels feel welcome and inspired.
